eggnog buttercream

Ingredients
  • 1 cup (2 sticks) of butter, at room temperature
  • 2 c (227 g) powdered sugar, sifted
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 tsp vanilla bean paste
  • 3 tbsp egg nog
  • pinch of salt
Instructions
  1. In a stand mixer with a paddle attachment, beat butter on high speed until very light and fluffy, about 8 minutes. Add the powdered sugar and mix on low speed until incorporated, then increase the speed to medium-high and beat for an additional 8 minutes. Add vanilla extract, egg nog, and salt and mix on low speed until combined. Best if used immediately.
